Before your appointment

This is not about arriving perfectly done. It is about giving us the clearest version of the canvas, colouring and overall look you are likely to have on your wedding day.

Keep skin calm

Follow your normal skincare and avoid experimenting with strong treatments right before the trial. Arrive with clean, comfortably moisturised skin.

Complete facial grooming the week before

Have your brows shaped and any facial waxing or threading done at least one week before your trial. Freshly waxed or irritated skin can affect how smoothly makeup sits and adheres.

Leave breakouts alone

Avoid picking or popping pimples before your appointment. Makeup can cover redness and discolouration, but broken or inflamed skin is much harder to conceal smoothly.

Skip lash lifts and extensions

Natural lashes give us the most flexibility to test shape, placement and intensity using temporary lashes.

Match your wedding-day tan

If you plan to tan for the wedding, wear a similar depth to your trial. Foundation and colour choices read differently against tanned skin.

Attempt to style your hair

It does not need to be professionally done or perfect. Simply wear it in a way that loosely reflects your planned bridal hairstyle, so you can see how the makeup and hair work together as a complete look.

Wear white and consider your neckline

A white or bridal-toned top with a neckline similar to your dress makes it easier to judge balance, colour and overall impact.

Bring useful inspiration

Save a few makeup references you genuinely love, plus a photo of yourself in makeup you felt beautiful in. We are looking for the pattern, not copying a face.

Have your wedding details handy

Dress, flowers, jewellery, hair direction, ceremony time and photographer style all help shape a look that belongs to the whole day.
